چکیده

Data Types In this chapter we give an introduction to the algebraic specification of abstract data types by means of a set of equations. See [10, 80] for lucid overviews of this field. 2.1 Algebraic specification We start with an example. Example 2.1 As a standard example we specify the natural numbers with addition and multiplication. The signature consists of the function 0 of arity zero, the unary successor function S, and the binary functions addition plus and multiplication mul. The equality relation on terms is specified by four axioms: 1. plus(x, 0) = x 2. plus(x, S(y)) = S(plus(x, y)) 3. mul(x, 0) = 0 4. mul(x, S(y)) = plus(mul(x, y), x) The initial model of this axiomatisation consists of the distinct classes [[0]], [[S(0)]], [[S(0)]], [[S(0)]], . . . . The first three classes, with some typical representatives of each of these classes, are depicted in Figure 2.1. For example, the equation plus(S(S(S(0))), S(0)) = mul(S(S(0)), S(S(0))) (i.e., 3 + 1 = 2 · 2) can be derived from the axiomatisation of the natural numbers as follows. plus(S(S(S(0))), S(0)) = S(plus(S(S(S(0))), 0)) = S(S(S(S(0))))

The Effect of High Penetration Level of Distributed Generation Sources on Voltage Stability Analysis in Unbalanced Distribution Systems Considering Load Model

Static voltage stability is considered as one of the main issues for primary identification before voltage collapsing in distribution systems. Although, the optimum siting of distributed generation resources in distribution electricity network can play a significant role in voltage stability improving and losses reduction, the high penetration level of them can lead to reduction in the improvem...

A Multi-commodity Pickup and Delivery Open-tour m-TSP Formulation for Bike Sharing Rebalancing Problem

Bike sharing systems (BSSs) offer a mobility service whereby public bikes, located at different stations across an urban area, are available for shared use. An important point is that the distribution of rides between stations is not uniformly distributed and certain stations fill up or empty over time. These empty and full stations lead to demand for bikes and return boxes that cannot be fulfi...

Visual Modelling and Validation of Distributed Systems

Distributed system technologies are fast developing and the complexity of networked systems increases. For this reason the precise design of distributed systems is necessary, comprising all key aspects. The employment of formal methods is restricted to few aspects such as performance and correctness of distributed algorithms, while the investigation of consistency issues, as they arise e.g. whe...

Modelling Distributed Agent Systems with RoMAS

Multi-agent systems(MAS) are typical distributed systems. To model such a distributed system, a new definition and architecture for agent is proposed to be more appropriate for dynamic, open system’s analysis, design and implementation. The formal specification of these concepts is described. A MAS modelling methodology RoMAS based on these definitions is presented through RoboCup simulation fo...

A Methodological Approach to Build Simulation Models of Manufacturing Systems with Distributed Control

Simulation is a powerful tool to analyse manufacturing systems for purposes of design and on-going operation. Nowadays, simulation modelling and analysis is confronted to increasing evolution of companies towards distributed process control. Thus, simulation modelling must be supported by an underlying modelling discipline, or structured approach to modelling factory operations. Our study focus...
